Activate is the exciting conclusion to the Blaine Colton trilogy by Adele Jones. Integrate was thrilling, Replicate upped the stakes and dug deeper, taking the story in surprising, heart wrenching but believable directions. Given the strong writing in the first two, I had high expectations of Activate – and I wasn’t disappointed. Read More |
I have yet to read this book but I really enjoyed the first in the trilogy. I don’t normally read this type of fiction but I felt Adele handle the suspense factor very well.
A wonderful review, Jenny
I left a reply on Goodreads, then thought ‘hmm, what’s wrong with this picture?’
Your review is brilliant, making me want to read! I confess that I haven’t had time to begin this series yet, but I really want/need to now.
Hi Jo’Anne – Thank you. It’s a great series, so I am sure you won’t be disappointed And, lol, yes. thanks for the comment on Goodreads – and for the comment here
Hi Jeanette. There are so many great books to read I agree, love the pace in Integrate. You really should finish the other two, each one just gets better imo & it’s such a emotional, strong end to the series.
Great review Jenny. I’ve really enjoyed this series, and Activate is a great conclusion. Like the first two books, it has lots of action and ethical dilemmas, but I also loved seeing how the main characters changed over the course of the series, especially Eddie. I also really liked the way in which real-life issues were dealt with in honest ways (e.g. the escalation of the relationship between Blaine and Sophie). Would love to see more of these characters.
Hi Nola – I am nodding my head at all the points you make. I loved that everything was believable but also surprising. And yes, maybe Adele will write a sequel one day
Looks like another author to check out this year.
Hi Jenny, I agree this was a fantastic read, and my favourite of the trilogy, which I may add I enjoyed all the way through. Adele certainly knows to build tension, while making us care for the characters, especially her main man. I love Blaine.
Definitely going to have to add this to my MUST READ list!
Thanks Neville
She sure does. I’m looking forward to reading her next book. Thanks for commenting
I’d highly recommended it
